Through this design, I wanted to honor the history of the tool—its marks, its symmetry, its imperfections. The small-scale repeat is structured and geometric, yet softened by the hand-stamped texture. It evokes a feeling of old-world craftsmanship while still sitting comfortably in modern spaces. Designing with a mix of old and new is what I love most, and this pattern gave me the perfect place to explore that contrast."

The soft slate blue feels calm and natural, while the ivory floral brings gentle contrast. It’s a pattern that feels easy and lived-in - meant to bring a bit of nature’s softness indoors."

"The inspiration for this pattern was drawn from the imagery of pomegranates—ancient symbols of fruitfulness, promise and beauty. The motif echoes something old, like it might’ve been block-printed in a 1700s dye house. I chose a warm, muted ochre for the pomegranate and a rich olive for the background to mimic the natural dyes of this era. I wanted it to evoke an American Heirloom feel - slightly rustic, usable but elegant."

"The Kadie is a study in repetition as movement. It began as an attempt to create a soft, scalloped rhythm—something that felt hand-drawn, not manufactured. The large-scale repeated strokes move in arcs, giving it both a quiet strength and a restful cadence. This pattern holds the tension I love most in design: structured yet soft, imperfect yet intentional. I wanted a design that was modern in its abstraction, but grounded—reminiscent of marks made by hand on pottery. This design features a warm, muted mushroom brown ground with aged ivory strokes - hues that reflect an earthy subtleness."
