Tribal Zebra

“I love animals and I love nature. Many of my designs are inspired by what I see in nature. Tribal Zebra is one of them. I saw a picture of some zebras and was totally captivated by the pattern on their coats. How could nature be so perfect? 

That began my investigation into an animal design. I actually began with the zebra coat pattern and kept working with it until it became what it is today. Organic yet with some geometric elements. I believe Tribal Zebra is an interesting pattern that can be used either as the primary design or serve as an important support role in the overall design scheme.”

Chrysanthemums 

One of my very first floral designs. Large in scale, each petal in “Chrysanthemums” was lovingly hand-drawn and hand-colored. The detail of the petals gives the pattern interest as well as visual texture. A “Drop Shadow” added to a few of the flowers, enhances the depth of the pattern while offering the allusion that those flowers are lifting off the other layers.

Thanks to the Digital Print process, we are able to introduce it as the many colors in the pattern can now be captured.

“Chrysanthemums” will provide a perfect option for dramatic drapery, bedding and or that important accent pattern.

"This design was inspired by the final ice skating performance of the 2022 Winter Olympics. The graceful weaving dance of the ice skaters. They wove in and out and around each other. I watched that performance, mesmerized by the elegant, smooth and intricate patterns the skaters made. Look closely, one can identify those patterns in this design."

Geometrix 

Is another one of those designs where I was exploring options on how to use a component I had drawn. Beginning with a very simple geometric design, I kept moving that design around, adding to it, twisting it, reworking it and from all that emerged “Geometrix”.

I find geometric patterns can add important details to design schemes, while offering simple contrast to busy patterns. It’s also a great way to introduce strong architectural elements.

Geometrix is simple, dramatic, and large in scale, thus a providing great design choice for many applications.

They are blue silk with an all over pattern of elegant embroidered white roses. Rediscovering those pajamas, brought back wonderful memories of my Dad who has long since passed. That is what inspired this rose pattern. Notice the rose design runs diagonally."
