Marion: Honey Oyster
As with many of my floral designs, this pattern began without a specific plan or outcome in mind. I often start simply by playing with shapes, spacing, and movement—allowing the design to evolve naturally. When I created this painted floral, I immediately fell in love and knew it was meant to be explored as a small-scale repeat. The smaller scale gives the pattern incredible versatility, which is why it has become a favorite among designers.  

For this colorway, I loved the idea of interpreting “sunflower” colors in a quieter, more restrained way—allowing the warmth to come through without being overly bright.
