Marion: Ocean Oyster
As with many of my floral designs, this pattern began without a specific plan or outcome in mind. I often start simply by playing with shapes, spacing, and movement—allowing the design to evolve naturally. When I created this painted floral, I immediately fell in love and knew it was meant to be explored as a small-scale repeat. The smaller scale gives the pattern incredible versatility, which is why it has become a favorite among designers.  

For those who naturally gravitate toward blue, I wanted to offer a colorway that featured the hue in a soft way rather than anything overly saturated. The muted blue brings a quiet sense of calm to the pattern while still fitting within the broader color palette of the collection.
